Custom CSS for Hugo with Academic

Since Academic theme capitalize project name (e.g. cpprb to CPPRB) by CSS text-transform: uppercase, I would like to use custom CSS to overwrite it.

According to official document, Academic recommends us to use assets/scss/custom.scss, however, it didn’t work for me.

As long as I could investigate, it seems we have to overwrite this file provided by Academic, instead of creating at the root directory like other customization. I imported Academic with git submodule and didn’t want to modify inside the directory as much as possible.

Finally, I used custom head by creating <root-dir>/layouts/partials/custom_head.html.

<style type="text/css">
  .card h4 a {text-transform: none;}
</style>

This worked fine!
